Both are Shure handheld microphones for live vocals, but they use different technologies: the SM58 is dynamic and the SM86 is a condenser.
Which one to choose
The SM86 gives the voice more detail and air, with a 50 Hz to 18 kHz response, but it needs phantom power and prefers controlled stages. The SM58 needs no phantom, survives knocks and loud monitors, and is more forgiving of uneven mic technique. For bars, noisy stages or desks without phantom, the SM58; for singers after clarity in acoustic sets or well-controlled stages, the SM86.
