Bose S1 Pro Plus vs Mackie ShowBox

Both are portable battery-powered systems for playing without relying on the venue's PA, but they solve the problem in different ways.

Which one to choose

The ShowBox builds a detachable mixer, with looper and tuner, onto an 8-inch speaker rated at 400 W peak: PA and mixer in a single 9.5 kg block, and you can take the mixer off and keep it within reach while the speaker stays on the floor. The S1 Pro+ is lighter and more flexible as a speaker: two combo channels plus Bluetooth, a built-in wireless receiver and several working positions, including floor monitor. If you play solo or as a duo and want to mix yourself, the ShowBox; if you want a speaker that also works as a monitor and as reinforcement in different places, the S1 Pro+.
